Privacy Policy — ENIGMA Axiom

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 June 2026

ENIGMA Axiom ("the Service") is operated by IAIC AI Research & Trading FZCO (Dubai, IFZA). This policy explains what we process when you verify a claim or citation.

What we process

When you submit text for verification, we process that text, the citations extracted from it, and minimal request metadata (such as your IP address) needed to run and rate-limit the Service. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Storage & retention

Verification records are stored in PostgreSQL with the submitted claim/context columns encrypted at rest (AES-256 via pgcrypto), under tier-based retention: Free 30 days, Pro 90 days, Business 90–180 days. Records are automatically deleted when their retention window expires. We also keep anonymous, content-free aggregate counters (e.g., totals by verdict and domain).

Your rights

You can request deletion of your records at any time (GDPR Article 17) by emailing privacy@enigma.ist.

Third parties

To verify a claim, citations are checked against authoritative indexes (e.g., Crossref, PubMed, OpenAlex, arXiv, CourtListener) and, where an algorithm can't decide, the claim is cross-checked by multiple LLM providers. Only the text needed for verification is sent; it is not used to train models on our behalf.

Browser extension

The ENIGMA Axiom Chrome extension runs only on the AI chat sites you use it on — ChatGPT (chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com), Claude (claude.ai), Gemini (gemini.google.com) and Deepseek (chat.deepseek.com). On those pages it reads the visible text of the AI's answer to find citations and claims; the only data it sends to our servers (api.enigma.ist) is the specific claim or citation text you choose to verify. It does not read other tabs, your browsing history, passwords, or page content on any other website. Settings are stored locally in your browser; if you sign in, it uses a token from your ENIGMA account (enigma.ist) only to identify you — including the account name and avatar shown in the extension — and apply your plan limits.

Goals & ENIGMA Memory (optional)

If you build goal or task trees, or enable ENIGMA Memory, those items are stored under your account with the free-text content encrypted at rest (pgcrypto). ENIGMA Memory is strictly opt-in — off until you turn it on; you can view and delete any item; and it is added to an AI prompt only when you explicitly choose to insert it. We never silently rewrite or auto-send your prompts. You can delete this data at any time (see “Your rights”).
